ENTER THE GAME
You will join the Data Analytics team, part of a larger Data team which also includes Data Science, Data Product Management & Product Analytics teams. The Analytics team mission is to grow the business by identifying critical insights and high value opportunities. You'll integrate a fast-growing team of +30 passionate individuals tackling challenges of all sorts : from scaling marketing campaign analytics to building complex customer segmentations to predicting the outcome of the next football game.
YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC
We are looking for an Analytics Manager to lead our Sports Analytics team, responsible for delivering analytics touching the very heart of our business model : betting products, strategies and offers. Working directly with the sports team, your work and analysis will significantly contribute to defining a relevant long-term strategy for the department and to assessing its impact on our players. As such, your role will involve close interactions with business executives and departmental heads, as well as Betclic’s top management.
Your responsibilities will be:

Build, manage and help grow a team of data analysts
Help up‑skill the team, providing hands‑on technical and business guidance to analysts to ensure high quality of team’s insights and output
Define the evolution of our analytical strategy on performance analytics, key strategic projects and data products through the identification of high value‑added opportunities that will unlock business potential
Maintain close relationships with stakeholders from business teams, and other data departments
Influence the business teams when needed, pushing them to adopt the right KPIs and the right strategy
Deliver insightful analysis with convincing, actionable recommendations that will impact the product quickly

Some examples of recent projects:

"Risk & liability" management data products to support trading teams
Development of recommendation algorithms in close collaboration with Data Science team
Product features performance analysis through state‑of‑the‑art A / B testing

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

You have a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or Computer Science or equivalent from a top university
You are proficient in SQL & Python
You have a first experience in managing and growing Data Analytics teams
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
You are a team player, able to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment and influence cross‑functional teams without formal authority
You are already familiar with gaming industry and already have notions about gambling business model & offer

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is selected, Elodie will contact you to complete an online technical test, followed by a 30‑minute HR pre‑screening
Next, you'll be asked to take the AssessFirst test (personality, motivations, and reasoning)
You will meet Xavier, Senior Analytics Manager, followed by Iouri, Chief Data Officer
Then, you will meet François, Data Product Owner and Francesco, Head of Product
Finally Elodie will conduct a final HR interview with you, during which you'll review your AssessFirst results together.

To ensure an ideal candidate experience, the Betclic recruitment process typically takes 4 to 6 weeks.
