Rolling Stock Certification Senior AssessorJoin to apply for the Rolling Stock Certification Senior Assessor role at RINARINA is currently recruiting for a Rolling Stock Certification Senior Assessor to join its office in Florence, Italy within the Transport & Infrastructure Certification Division.MissionThis position is dedicated to conducting comprehensive assessment activities within the railway sector, specialising in Rolling Stock including Conventional trains, High-Speed units, and Innovative traction systems across both mainline and light rail vehicles. The role involves executing detailed evaluations and generating thorough reports to ensure compliance and safety standards are consistently met in this critical transportation domain.Key AccountabilitiesAct as the main point of contact for our clients, lead meetings with clients and our assessment teamLead assessment project and involved assessment team, both in national and foreign projectPerform assessment activities related to the projects in the Railway Rolling Stock domainEnsure the deliveries foreseen by our assessment and verification plansWork with efficient dialogue and support the project actively in reaching the satisfactory results in timeConduct activities in line with internal procedure, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standardsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringQualificationsA minimum of 3/5 years of demonstrated experience in conducting assessments, validations, and audits within the railway industry, with a strong emphasis on rolling stockComprehensive knowledge of railway system design, operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance, including familiarity with safety management systems and quality assurance frameworks applicable to the railway sectorProven experience in preparing detailed, accurate assessment reports aligned with organizational requirements and international industry standards such as UIC, ERA, and EN standardsSolid understanding of railway certification processes, risk management, and performance evaluation methodologiesStrong analytical skills and the ability to critically evaluate technical systems, infrastructure, and operational procedures within the railway environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills, enabling clear presentation of complex technical information to diverse audiencesA commitment to continuous professional development and the capacity to stay abreast of evolving industry standards, legislative changes, and emerging safety practicesCompetenciesHave a big picture of different situations and reinterpret it in a perspective wayForge trust relationships across departments and outside the organizationEmbrace internal and external client needs, expectations, and requirements to ensure maximum satisfactionTake everyone's opinion into account and remain open to diversityStructure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraintsRecognise one's and other's emotions and express and regulate one's reactionsActively embrace change and benefit from the new circumstancesPromote commitment by keeping promises as a Role ModelCapitalize on experiences and translate them into action plans for the futureSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionConsulting and EngineeringReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at RINA by 2x
