Optical Designers
Our Client is looking for Optical Designers to work in their Research and Development Department, which is actively involved in the field of optical communications for satellite applications, in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI). The candidates will support the design, realisation and operation of a new test‑facility aiming at assessing and certifying the interoperability of Optical Communication Terminal Payloads.
Responsibilities

Design and validate optical systems to assessing performances of optical communication payloads
Conduct test‑campaigns following relevant standards

Qualifications And Experience

Strong passion for the development of new technologies
Degree in Engineering or Physics
Experience in Optical Systems Design and testing (telescopes and imaging systems)
PhD in relevant fields is appreciated, but not mandatory
“Problem Solving” attitude, autonomy and “pro‑activity”
Willingness to learn new tools and methodologies

Location
These are full time permanent positions in Livorno, Italy. There is an option for these to be contract positions.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold all appropriate documentation and permits to work in the EU.
