Group Data Director
We are seeking a Group Data Director to define and steer the data vision and strategy for a dynamic, market‑leading organization in the B2B2C / B2C retail sector. The Group is experiencing strong growth, with significant expansion potential ahead, and currently generates over €1 billion in annual revenue. This newly created, strategic role will drive the transformation toward a fully data‑driven organization by establishing the right governance, tools, and processes, with a clear focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities

Crafting and executing the Data Strategy – Design the roadmap, select the most relevant technologies and partners, and oversee KPIs to ensure successful implementation.
Strengthening Data Governance and Quality – Define standards, implement governance and labeling frameworks, and ensure full compliance with regulations, including GDPR.
Leading Data Architecture and Solutions – Support the evolution of the data ecosystem and ensure seamless integration across the Group’s platforms.
Collaborating with Business Teams – Identify and implement high‑value use cases while promoting a strong data culture across the organization.
Leadership – Manage a team of 15–25 people and champion a company‑wide cultural transformation around data.

Key Requirements

Proven experience in a senior role developing and executing an enterprise‑wide data strategy and instilling a genuine data‑driven culture.
Strong expertise in data governance, data quality management, and regulatory compliance.
Solid technical background in data architecture, modern data platforms, and analytics tools.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic mindset and the ability to identify business opportunities through data insights.
