OverviewWe are looking forConstruction Project Managerto manage design and construction of data centers and major renovation projects.Their missions and responsibilities are following :Administrative / permittingFollow up on pending permitting requests (building permit and / or environmental authorization) and maintain understanding of where they are at in process.Prioritize deadlines and deliverables to ensure projects are on track and in compliance with statement of workDesign phaseSupport entire design phase to ensure that the target data center meets Data4’s and Customer’s needsLead engineering teams for the design phasesAct as interface between Operations and Design teams throughout the project.Construction & Commissioning PhaseActively participate in the tendering phase and awarding of contracts for the implementation partTrack project updates, project status, uncovering and relaying issues, solutions resolution and cost / budget associated with each project.Monitor the realization phase daily to ensure that the work complies with the contractsManage the respect of the Health and Safety rules during the whole construction phaseManage service providers with a direct contractual link with the project owner (energy provider, control office, safety coordinator, CSI, design office, architect, property owner, project manager, etc.)Act as an interface between the Operations and Construction teams throughout the projectManage the commissioning operations in relation with the Commissioning Agent and the project managementGradually put the operations team of the future site in a position to take over the site as soon as it is made available (training on the technical packages, documentation, drafting of simplified procedures, etc.),Project ManagementConduct all meetings necessary to manage the project, in relation with the general contractor, project management team, and the final customerDocument the project, including as-built documentationGenerate the reporting required for this type of operationEnsure the budgetary follow-up of the project in collaboration with the prime contractor and the finance department of data4Financial oversight on capital budget allocation, expense, and cost.Implement automation tools and techniques to streamline and enhance processes.Transversal MissionsElaboration of a Data4 Design SpecificationAssistance to Sales / Pre-Sales teams in complex pre-sales processes involving technical and design issuesParticipation in customer audits for the design of Data CentersLeading specific missions (if applicable; example : uptime certification, reliability studies, etc.)Supporting the operational team on specific subjectsTechnical referent for our Key Accounts and Hyperscalers customersTechnology WatchEnsure the technological watch on the best practices of design and implementation of data centers at the international levelParticipation, if necessary, in specialized eventsVisits to Data Centers (customers, competitors, others.)EXPERIENCE REQUIREDEducation and experienceIdeally a graduate of higher education (Engineer or equivalent) in the field of electrical / climate engineering or generalist, the training is not a prerequisite, the quality of experience, knowledge of the market and personal qualities take precedence over the rest.Experience : at least 5 years within a construction project management company, a design office, or even an installer on project management issues, allowing to have significant knowledge in areas where continuity of service is essential and technical knowledge allowing to pilot the various areas concerned.Technical skillsThe candidate must possess the following skills :Proven track record in project management, preferably in the hosting or service integration industriesExperience managing projects in an occupied site (preferred)Proven skills and taste for cross-functional team management and teamwork to lead projectsGood level in civil works and / or HVAC and / or Electrical and / or Security / Networks and / or BMSKnowledge in general design of industrial buildings with issues close to Data Centers (continuity of service, security, etc.),Proven ability to work under pressure and with othersAbility to work simultaneously with several projectsAbility to analyze and summarizeAbility to «popularize» the technique and the benefits for non-experts thanks to a discourse adapted to the interlocutor and to his needs and constraintsGood command of document writingMastery of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD applications.English with a very good written / oral levelThe candidate does not require the following, but it would be an advantageProject Management training such as PMI or equivalentExperience working in English-speaking environmentsSoft skillsSense of confidentiality, integrity and ethicsExcellent interpersonal skillsReporting skillsStrong organizational skillsAdaptability and open-mindednessEntrepreneurial profile, capable of strong intellectual mobility and multitasking within a small structureAbility to work methodically and independentlyExcellent written and oral communication skillsSense of customer serviceDecision-making spiritRigor and methodTeam spiritSense of commitment for him / her and his / her teams
