Join to apply for the Category Manager role at Dorel Juvenile.
We are hiring a Category Manager (M/F) to join our Product Development and Marketing team and help grow our position in the European market across all channels. The role focuses on driving our mass product portfolio for the Bebeconfort and Safety 1st brands, including licenses and own-label brands.
Key Responsibilities
Act as Product Owner within NPD & sourcing teams in Europe and Asia (Dorel factory and partner factories), responsible for time to market and commercial viability; work closely with R&D, Procurement, Quality, Operations, and other departments to deliver project objectives.
Work in close relationship with suppliers and negotiate prices to support sales performance when necessary.
Identify development opportunities and translate them into product sourcing & development roadmap for 2027.
Lead NPI process and work closely with Content, Brand, Trade, and Training teams to deliver launch assets & GTM presentations.
Drive enhanced content and marketing assets to maximize consumer sell‑out on offline/shop floors and online channels (packaging project, online content).
Manage commercial launch plan for new product introductions in collaboration with Sales & Operations teams in Europe.
Monitor daily commercial success of new product introductions & entire product portfolio, tracking listings, sales performance and profitability according to budget; make recommendations and implement action plans, including sales & promo plan when necessary.
Drive SKU rationalization to keep portfolio and stock healthy.
Contribute to trade events and promote the novelties at European customer events, including internal training & sales pitch, as well as local events and customer meetings.
Manage Commercial Program Price List input & Quota forecasts exercise to prepare 2027 collection year.
Teams
Manage a team of 2 people, including a product manager & a marketing specialist.
Your profile
Graduated with at least 5 years of experience in product development, portfolio management, and product marketing, ideally in an international consumer goods environment.
Strong sense of entrepreneurship and commercial mindset, results oriented.
Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, make quick decisions and manage multiple stakeholders.
Ability to manage and grow a team.
Fluency in English.
