Bank Mental Health Nurse – Category C Prison at Badersfield, Norwich
Role Summary
Working with a multi‑disciplinary team to provide comprehensive mental health care within the secure environment of HMP Bure.
Hours
Monday to Sunday – 08:00 to 18:00
Salary
£23.83 per hour during weekdays, £25.68 per hour during weekends.

Candidates must have legal right to work in the UK and will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Responsibilities

Work within a multi‑disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options.
Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have experienced trauma.
Assess patients’ health needs using an evidence‑based framework and risk assess using sound clinical knowledge.
Provide advice and support to individuals and manage a case load of patients.
Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, liaising with prescribers as required.
Forge strong links with partners and stakeholders to inspire excellence.

Requirements

NMC registered Mental Health Nurse.
Evidence of continued professional development.
Experience working with patients face‑to‑face who have complex mental health conditions.
Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work, and awareness of substance misuse.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
