As part of the Transaction & Analysis Team, you will actively contribute to all stages of the investment process at Jolt Capital, from due diligence to deal structuring. Working closely with the team of developers responsible for our AI platform, Jolt.Ninja, you will also contribute to data analysis and market research.
The Analyst will report directly to the Director of Transaction Services and will interact regularly with the Investment Team, gaining a comprehensive understanding of both market dynamics and the private equity investment process.
Jolt Capital is a private equity firm that specializes in growth capital technology investing, in sectors that offer strong exit potential across hardware-driven or software-driven solutions: photonics, advanced materials, cybersecurity, electrification, smart sensors, semiconductors, health, and more.
Duties & Responsibilities
Investment analysis – from deal structuring to due diligence

Participate in all stages of the investment process, from due diligence to deal structuring.
Review financial statements, accounting and operational data.
Analyze and challenge forecasts, based on historical performance, market dynamics, pipeline...
Contribute to business valuation process, identification of comparable companies and transactions.
Identify and assess off-balance-sheet exposures and debt-like items.
Take part in management meetings, expert calls, and third-party advisor interactions.

Active participation in research, data, and automation

Leverage insights from our proprietary AI platform Jolt.Ninja.
Conduct market, segment, and technology analyses.
Develop indicators to evaluate companies and patents using quantitative and qualitative metrics.
Contribute to the development of automated tools for data collection, screening, and analysis.
Proactively explore new methodologies and data sources.

Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree with Honors in Engineering, Finance or a related field
Experience: [1-3] years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

Investment, Transaction Services or other adjacent finance areas (M&A, Accounting...)
Research or Data Analysis, ideally with exposure to deeptech innovation

Skills & Mindset

Strong understanding of financials, accounting skills and financial due diligence experience
Solid analytical skillset and quantitative capabilities
Solid command of Excel and other computing skills is a plus (PowerBi, Python)
Research-driven mindset with a willingness to learn and experiment
Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
