Job environment
Job title of the line manager : OPERATIONAL CUSTOMS MANAGER Job title of the functional manager (if any) : Responsibilities : To make all customs declarations, carry out all associated administrative tasks, and hit quality, cost, lead time and safety targets. To advise customers following validation by the department manager.
Scope of Activities
To carry out some or all of the following activities :

Prepare declarations in compliance with national and international customs, industry and tax regulations
Report via indicators, record any issues identified, resolve them within your scope of responsibility and inform your line management
Self-check your declaration before validation
Build and maintain a good working relationship with the French Customs Service
Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction in terms of contract compliance
Advise customers of validation by your departmental manager
Promote the image of the Group to customers, with particular emphasis on call taking and of technical advice and information
Act in the best interests of the company during customs disputes, and ensure that all transactions are validated by your manager.
Apply the internal compliance procedures for Authorized Economic Operator certification, as applicable to operations

Export

Apply all customs regulations currently applicable in the European Union and France.
Define the documentation required for the export destination concerned
Anticipate and organize the export process
Advise customers on the best way of exporting their goods
Use the information systems available and adapt to their ongoing development (Delta, Gamma, Pro Douane, etc.)

Import

Apply all customs regulations currently applicable in the European Union and France.
Identify the documentation required for customs clearance
Anticipate and organize all customs clearance formalities on the basis of the appropriate Incoterm
Advise customers regarding the best terms and procedures
Use the information systems available and adapt to their ongoing development (Delta, Gamma, Pro Douane, etc.)

Engage with the financial challenges of the company
The activities are to be adapted for employees on work / study contracts (vocational training contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to remain consistent with their theory training.
