Head Barista
Job Description
We are seeking an innovative and passionate Head Barista to lead our beverage team for our label Retro Rinse in Tumbak Bayuh, Bali. The ideal candidate will be a creative professional with a deep understanding of coffee and tea varieties, brewing techniques, and flavour pairings, dedicated to crafting unique tea and lemonade-based beverages that provide exceptional experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and curate an innovative menu of tea and lemonade beverages, emphasising unique flavours and high-quality ingredients.
Experiment with various tea blends, infusions, and preparation methods to create signature drinks.
Oversee the daily operations of the beverage section, ensuring consistency and excellence in every serving.
Train and mentor team members on proper brewing techniques, presentation, and customer service standards.
Manage inventory, including sourcing premium teas and related ingredients, while maintaining cost control.
Engage with guests to share knowledge about different teas and their health benefits, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the beverage preparation area.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Tea Mixologist, Tea Sommelier, Barista, or similar role, with a focus on tea-based beverages.
Profound knowledge of various tea types, origins, brewing methods, and flavour profiles.
Strong creative abilities with a passion for experimenting and developing new beverage recipes.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
Certification in tea sommelier or related fields is a plus.
