As a QHES Engineer you will implement policies and develops practices aimed at identifying and mitigating conditions adverse to quality, safety, health of people, the environment, and radiation protection at the workplace and in external environments.
You will report to the Site Quality and HSE Manager and be located in Orsay, France.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the project manager to prevent incidents, verify activities are performed in compliance with QHSE rules, and analyze incidents if they occur.
Work autonomously based on general instructions from their line manager, reporting blocking points during weekly reviews.
Authority to stop activities in case of an event or risk (non-compliance with rules, procedures, traceability, risky behavior or situations, etc.).
For complex projects or those involving several QHSE personnel, may be designated as QA (Quality Assurance) and / or QHSE leader, managing, supervising, and coordinating QHES staff, defining objectives and priorities, and evaluating their work.
Acts as QHES Reference : synthesizes information and coordinates QHSE actions for project activities, reviews or verifies activity documentation, and contributes significantly to performance improvement or transformation.
For specific QHES areas, provides expertise, synthesizes information, analyzes issues, produces recommendations and / or improvements, and helps implement solutions, including training.
Qualifications
Engineer (Master's degree or equivalent) or experienced technician in quality, safety, health or environment.
Specific certifications, authorizations and aptitudes for the activity.
General knowledge of QHES standards.
Level 2 Radiation Protection Competent Person training.
Cause analysis, management of corrective action files
Use of safety harness, ventilated protective suits, scaffolding inspection, fire extinguisher handling, workplace first aid.
Develop high-quality written communications
Fluent in French and professional level English.
Proven ability to engage effectively with external stakeholders (suppliers, clients).
Handle pressure from external stakeholders
Communicate on QHES topics in French and, if needed, in English for international teams.
