Payment & Accounts Specialist

Payment & Account Operations at Ageras
As we maintain our focus on high‑quality service and ensuring regulatory compliance, we’re now looking for a Payment & Accounts Specialist to join our French based team.
This is a long‑term role, and you’ll be reporting to Julliana Madelon, working closely with our experienced and friendly team members including Hafssa and Megane. You'll help ensure the continuity of day-to-day operations while we prepare for increased activity in the near future.
Your Role as a Payment & Accounts Specialist
You’ll be an essential part of a dynamic team with a strong learning culture. You’ll take ownership of a variety of banking tasks, including :
Key Responsibilities
Daily reconciliation of internal accounts & ensuring regulatory fund segregation
Executing SEPA Out and managing SDD rejections / returns via our SG web interface
Processing treasury operations, Mastercard settlements, internal transfers, client reimbursements
Following up with customers & banks regarding payment issues or discrepancies
Managing regulatory operations (e.g. SATD, Saisies Huissiers, etc.)
Raising and documenting incidents, collaborating until resolution
Maintaining and updating KPIs and internal reports
Assisting in audits and maintaining strong financial documentation
About You
You're analytical, dependable, and eager to grow, while not afraid of diving into the details.
Must-Have Skills
Fluent in English and French is a BIG plus – you’ll be working in English but communicating with French‑based stakeholders
Solid skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Preferably 1–3 years of experience in banking, back office, or payment operations
An educational background in Banking, Accounting, or Finance (BTS, DUT, Licence, or equivalent)
Soft Skills
Exceptionally organised with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Process‑oriented and documentation‑savvy
A team player mindset and openness to learning
Nice to Have
Basic knowledge of accounting
Experience with regulatory or audit processes
What Success Looks Like in this role
3 Months In : You’re confidently managing daily operations and have a good grasp of our systems and compliance protocols.
6 Months In : You're driving your own responsibilities, contributing to process improvements, and supporting our upcoming projects (e.g. German passporting).
1 Year In : You’ve become a trusted operations specialist, handling audits, KPIs, and partnering with multiple departments to drive results.
