Shorter University, a NCAA Division II institution competing in the Conference Carolinas, is recruiting a full‑time Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach.
Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of the Women’s Lacrosse program: scheduling, budgeting, game preparation, practice planning and execution, conditioning, recruiting, academic monitoring, staff supervision, and fundraising.
Responsibilities

Develop student‑athletes spiritually, encouraging knowledge of Jesus Christ and honor God.
Lead, guide, and foster an environment for spiritual growth.
Provide counseling, advising, education, and motivation to athletes.
Monitor, evaluate, and retain student‑athletes.
Collaborate with strength and conditioning staff to incorporate strength training into lacrosse programs.
Evaluate prospects through high‑school visits, competitions, and camps.
Recruit Division II eligible prospects from high‑school, junior college, and transfer programs.
Organize and supervise practices, matches, and the off‑season conditioning program.
Develop and administer a recruiting plan.
Manage budget and scheduling; ensure compliance with Shorter University, NCAA, and Conference Carolinas regulations.
Arrange transportation, lodging, and pre‑game devotional program.
Ensure the team represents Shorter University with character, class, and sportsmanship.
Understand the role of intercollegiate athletics in an academically challenging environment that values physical, intellectual, and spiritual development.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a player or coach at the collegiate level, or highly successful high‑school and/or club coaching experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
